Description
Goodyear Eagle Sport 2
OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Eagle Sport 2 is a performance and high performance, summer tire made for passenger vehicles.
The model promotes great summer traction. The asymmetric tread pattern manages to maintain road contact, while the summer compound protects the tire against heat build-up in warmer temperatures. They can boost performance in dry and wet conditions. At the same time, the circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint, offering a safe performance even in wet situations.
The asymmetric tread pattern continuously follows the road surface and improves its controllability. This close road contact ensures better steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering response time is faster and more precise to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. The combination also increases the cornering and maneuvering ability as well. On the other hand, this tire can shorten the braking distance by creating friction. These elements give the driver full control over the vehicle and promote safe performance.
The Goodyear Eagle Sport 2 also increases driving comfort levels. The ideal tread design reduces the road and tread noise levels heard in the vehicle’s cabin. The footprint channels airwaves away, preventing them from coming into contact with tread elements and generating noise. This tread allows the passengers to enjoy a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
