Description
Hercules H/P 4000
OVERVIEW
The Hercules H/P 4000 is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Hercules offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire increases its year-round performance. It combines the detailed ribbed footprint with the all season compound used to mold it to enable its dry, wet, and winter weather application. This helps to ensure its consistent traction throughout the year. In other words, the sipe and lateral groove pattern create extra biting edges, firmly gripping the road surface. The compound keeps the tire’s pliability in summer and winter conditions. Circumferential grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint, effectively avoiding hydroplaning in wet conditions.
Guaranteed road contact upgrades the model’s controllability. As a result, the ribbed pattern helps to boost steering responsiveness and driving stability. It allows the tire to increase response time and accuracy to the driver’s steering instructions, while also optimizing its structural stability. Additionally, the shoulder blocks, and their sipe placement, provide the traction to improve cornering and maneuvering. Footprint details generate friction, significantly shortening the overall braking distance.
The optimized road-to-rubber ratio helps the H/P 4000 maintain consistent surface contact. The tire’s close contact with the road allows the footprint to absorb the shock of driving. As a result, the tire minimizes the road vibrations reaching the vehicle’s cabin. This promotes a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
