The Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) (J) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for luxury and passenger vehicles, depending on the tread design. The tire was designed using Pirelli’s knowledge and experience gathered from Formula 1 racing. This specific tire is marked with J as it is the original equipment of Jaguar vehicles. Depending on the type of vehicle the tire is mounted on, sport or luxury model, the shoulder tread pattern reacts differently. If the car is a performance model the outer shoulder tread design enhances the dry weather traction, the summer weather road grip and the lateral stability which together boost the vehicle’s performing capability. With luxury-oriented models the outer shoulder design improves the road vibration and road noise levels by lowering their presence in the vehicle’s cabin and it increases the hydroplaning resistance.
